The great pretender
Heb 4:13 says that Gods sees through everything to its core. Nothing is hidden. Living a lie or manufacturing behavior to please others is not Gods plan. Being something that you are not is double mindedness. To dialogue with self and to analyze motives is not the answer either. The flesh loves to create layers that build personality but God sees the heart and he chooses to love beyond the knowledge of sin or failure. He reminds us of who we are in him. God sees the real you. He sees the raw potential the gifts that are in the process of cultivation. The "masks" of life can keep people at arms length, but God wants our heart. Gods doesn’t have a standard on you - His desire is that we surrender and enjoy our life in Him. The desire to be accepted and to be valued can not truly be found horizontally, if we look for that in people, places or things it wont satisfy. Ps 145:16 says "Thou opens thine hand, and satisfies the desire of every living thing". His outstretched hand is towards you right now, pour out your heart and Christ will tell you Who He has made you to be in His grace. Look unto Jesus and discover that you are his master-piece.
