Job 41:3-5, 8 – “Will he make many supplications to you? Will he speak to you soft words? Will he make a covenant with you to take him for your servant for ever? Will you play with him as with a bird, or will you put him on leash for your maidens? Lay hands on him; think of the battle; you will not do it again”! This chapter gives a very accurate picture of the devil and the flesh. If we pamper our flesh and play with the devil by living casual about sin and listening to his lies then sin will have consistent dominion. How we define comfort is crucial. Comfort is what produces ease in an area, a temporary pleasure. Contentment is what God provides, satisfaction in Him, regardless if we get what we want. God has not called us to comfort but to the Comforter! Don’t look for the easy way out; the easy way may not be Gods way. Get feisty with the devil and your flesh today - Cling to the cross and the world will be crucified unto you in Gal 6.14.Your only authority is at the cross; Surrender to Him, be transparent before him and present yourself as a living sacrifice and He will empower you - In the power of His might.
