Intimacy verses Compatibility

Depth in relationships is priceless, but it doesn’t happen haphazardly. Many strive for compatibility to share and be fulfilled, but intimacy is what produces true compatibility. Intimacy is a deep connection in love; looking beyond the issues and loving the individual. It is possible to have compatibility without intimacy and have only a surface exchange, but true depth comes as we see the way Christ sees and we let him love us. Luke 5:4 says “Launch out into the deep” Jesus is constantly calling us into uncharted territory. It is easy to live behind our walls and fortify ourselves so that no one really gets close, but emptiness becomes our companion. Launch out into the depth of love, forgiveness and self acceptance today. God knows what we need better than anyone – God promises a fulfilling life, He dwells below the surface. Be still and let Christ love you today and see the depth of who you really are in the beauty of Grace!
