What is true availability?

What does it mean when someone says “I am just being available to God”? It sounds good but what is the spiritual weight of this… Availability is a condition not necessarily an action. We could be in a state of availability and be spiritually passive at the same time. True availability is we must “avail” ourselves to His ability. We are “pressing forward”. Faith is a disposition that produces a mindset grounded in love. Faith directives are always leading us forward TO Christ; the result is the application of love. Loves direction leads beyond sight and response and focuses on true value. The accumulation of knowledge doesn’t produce application; being propelled by love exercises faith and is the necessary ingredient to growth and the true meaning of availability. Don’t just be available today take a step out of your comfort zone – avail yourself to Christ and be moved in His Spirit. It is not a question of needing more faith, but it is better understood, I need Christ to love me into HIS faith directives.
