Stimulation verses Illumination

Escape is so much part of the thinking in our culture. To evade the moment through distraction or stimulation. God promises rest for those who enter into His promises. Illumination cause us to stand in awe rather then escape. No matter what is happening the promises of God will create hope and perspective  The emotions cant think and therefore need to be dictated to rather than pacified. Speak to yourself today in truth rather than avoid confrontation. True rest comes at the foot of the cross were we lay down our life and put on Christ.  "Today lord we hide ourselves in thee" Colossians 3:2-3.
