Our little box

Concepts, we all have them. Fragments of truths and/or lies mixed with limited knowledge. Concepts can hold us back from living in the fullness of God. The desire for a feeling, or to be right, may drive us but this measured fragment causes wantonness. Our faith is not a feeling but it is an absolute truth; God promises assurance not always feelings. False standards that we put on ourselves, and expectations that we put on others can be from concepts of what we think we deserve or a distorted view of what God desires. Paul says in 1Cor 8:2 “And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. Paul goes on to say in 1Co 4:4 “For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord”. And in 1 Cor 2.2 “I am determined to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified”. Paul came to the conclusion that the natural mind is limited to sight and perception; to what WE understand. The Cross is the key. The Cross crucifies our "little boxes" and leads us into a full dimension of Gods nature. Christ is unsearchable and His ways are past finding out in Romans 11.33. We constantly need the Lord to renew our mind so we don’t feed on old moldy manna crumbs! “Teach me Lord, I want to learn it all over again”, is our prayer. This willingness will make things very brilliant in our lives. We will pass beyond mere knowledge and the familiar, and will enter into true worship and fullness; a large and immeasurable place at the foot of the cross.
