Place of Immunity

In 1 Thess 4:11 "Study to be quiet" in the original language means to “learn to love and honor silence". A noisy soul leads to a wagging tongue and restlessness. In Isaiah 30:15, 32:17 inner quietness is strength. When we are quiet before God we are in a place of immunity. 3 things happen in Holy silence 1) Knowledge is categorized and organized in our hearts 2) Receptivity is born 3) We are led by the Spirit. A quiet spirit reveals the devils defeat. As we wrestle with things in our heart the key is to give authority to the right things. We must grab hold of the eternal by faith, not to what we understand. As we are focused on Christ he leads us by still waters and we hear Him - Ps 23:3. Practice His presence through stillness and He will bring personal rest to every part of our soul.
