Fight or Flight

Intrinsically we have both of these abilities. The balance is key when to operate in them. As initiators to pursue or to escape are real choices. The devils plan is to wear you out in Dan 7.25 and to cause frustration and suppression. But God has called you to rest. The details today are in the Lord hand and HE will fight for you Ex 14:14 as you lean on HIM. It is easy to avoid confrontation but in doing so we miss out in watching the Lord move. One of the meanings to the word "fight" is to stand still and not move backwards. Compromise is a word and action that is worldly. It is easy to back down and retreat. But God has never called us to backup, put up or shut up! There is no amour for our backside. Forward motion on our knees is the way through. The only thing that we are called to flee from is youthful lusts 2 Tim 2:22. Romans 5:2 says to Stand in Grace and to remember that HE is with you and that whatever confrontation - God will give you the ability and wisdom for it. Never retreat! Stand and watch God move.
