Chafed mindset

The snapshot of David and his mighty men is seen here in 2 Sam 17.8 “For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be “chafed in their minds”, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people”. The situation has brought them to a brink were in there minds they were crazed. They had passed the thresh hold of reason and the thought of imminent loss. All they could see was the cause. They didn’t deny the pain, but they didn’t give it authority over them. David’s mighty men were valiant because they didn’t hesitate or over think; they had a single mindset with implementation. They gave themselves wholly to David. These mighty men maneuvered with the sword as natural as brushing teeth. The process of preparation was sweeter than the desired outcome. How do you handle your sword? It is time to drop our toys and be trained in the arts of warfare in Ps 144.1. The hour is late and our mind must be clear. You maybe being pursued today, but what is your mindset? Are you chafed or focusing on loss and danger? Are you Moving forward on your knees or making excuses? Risk and danger to the natural man is par for the course. Mt 16:25 “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it”. Pursue after God and weald your sword – walk forward with your eyes fixed and wide open – there is no provision for retreat. Stay engaged in the Battle!

Ahhh this is so amazing. We need to be ready to battle against the devil but we must be prepared for he is persistent on attacking the person who keeps drawing near to God. I know the more i draw near the more he tries to persuade me to go against God. I know like many men or women that we have been in our down times and have had second thoughts what Gods plans are for us. Thats when we really need to draw near because God always provides for us maybe not when we want it but when we need it he will drop it right in to our hands. Its like what if we had a god that did answer to us when we wanted it we wouldnt be thankful no more we would just abuse his blessings for us. thats why i love how god works in mysterious ways each time he answers it always feels like i fall in love with him all over again.
