Clear Head ?

As the assualt of information pelts you on a daily basis and demands answers, the natural thought is how to "clear my head". Their is a danger to this practice. If we drive out what is on our mind through the will we only surpress the thougths to deal with another time. It is like throwing dirt under the rug - no one may see it but it is still there. Gods answer is to "cast off" those things that easily beset us. In doing this we give authority to the right things in our lives - eternal faith promises. The next time you have a lot on your mind - dont try to clear it, be still before God and mix faith energizing the eternal Word in your heart and those temporal things will be cast away.
