Forgiveness

Repentance is a gift from God. We can focus on the ugliness of sin and condemn ourselves and others for the wrong committed and strengthen sin and its vices. In Gods eyes sin has been paid for past, present and future. The emphasis must be on rebound and recovery. Our consent and agreement with Him on the matter restores fellowship in the present. In 2 Cor 7: 10 “For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret, but worldly grief produces death. For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what zeal, what punishment! At every point you have proved yourselves guiltless in the matter”. In Rm 2:4 - “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance”. When peter denied the Lord, Jesus looked at him in a way that convicted him and caused him to go and weep and ask for forgiveness. Love is what brought Jesus to that cross, and love kept him there. Sins ugliness was dealt with in the power of the matchless blood of Jesus. We have a forgiving savior! The Blood of Jesus speaks forgiveness, restoration, commission, new creations and new beginnings – newness! Put the emphasis on the right place today, don’t magnify sin but magnify a forgiving savior!

Forgiveness (giving it and recieving it) frees us and helps us to move forward.

Revival of Love

We set our hands to plowing, but looked back
and were not fit to work the Master's field.
But when we prayed and turned, the land was healed.
Now we shall work again and not be slack,
and God shall bless us till we cannot stack
the sheaves we bring rejoicing from the yield
God pours from heaven once we have appealed
His mercy in our brokenness and lack.
It is a burden light, an easy yoke,
to go forth weeping, bearing precious seed,
and sow it in the fallow ground we broke
and watch with prayer so neither thorn nor weed
can spring up in a bitter root to choke
revival of the love we sorely need.

Wow just every time i read one of these blogs you never cease to amaze me pastor jason. i think it is important to forgive others very important or otherwise your just gonna be lugging around an unnecessary burden you have created on yourself which would be a pretty unwise thing to do. But its all for the best when we forgive because its what god wants us to do i mean why not he has forgiven us like pastor love said its all about working out the christ like characteristic in us. i know some times it is hard for me to forgive but i dont want to dwell on it so i forgive and let god take it out of my life.
